I've had a few folks mention that they were doing Thur/Fri. I think the bulk of us will be there Sat. In the past I've mentioned Sunday out of habit. But the Autofair is Thursday through Saturday. No show on Sunday. Always check the dates on tickets in case I make this mistake. Lester Edwards is there right now. Is there anybody else there?

AUTOFAIR NEWS: Passes going in the mail today with tracking numbers. A separate text was sent to attendees only to verify addresses. Please reply if your address has changed.
MORE NEWS: George Babcheck will likely not be able to attend so if anyone still wants to go, Carolina Galaxies has 2 sets of passes (1 car and 4 people each) available at no cost, first come first served!!
We also have 2 trailer passes at no cost for anybody trailering their car. Just reply quickly and I will include it with your other passes!! if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know! -Greg

I am preparing the passes to mail them. They will likely go in the mail tomorrow. Each entry gets four wristbands, one car pass. That's a driver and three passengers per car. Many of you will not bring someone with you so what you do with your extra passes is your choice. However, if you do not need extras and have no use for them let me know before I mail your passes to you. I will keep them for any last minute attendees or for folks that are bringing more than three family members.
***If you have more than three passengers coming with you, let me know as well.***

Carolina Galaxies’s members. I recieved this info from the Autofair today. There are some changes but as always you need to contact me asap to let me know your intentions to show (or not show) and pay for your passes. I prefer Venmo and Cash App. If you need to mail a check please do so promptly. I plan to have our clubs registration submitted on Feb 17th. Please note we register as a group so all of your registrations will go thru me. The price is now $50 (please add a couple bucks to cover postage) but it comes with one car pass and FOUR wristbands for all three days. We were not given any other options but finally a person can bring 3 passengers with them!

Recently found out about Walt Hollifield’s passing. He was a wonderful man, founded the Autofair many years ago and was always good to Carolina Galaxies. He will be missed!

The Autofair email read in part:

AUTOFAIR ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Attention all car clubs!! Here are a few important announcements. Car Club registration will be opening this Saturday, January 17th and will remain open until March 17th. That's right! 2 months of open registration. All clubs will be getting an email from us on Saturday morning. That email will contain a link that will take you to the registration page. That's right!! All clubs will be registering electronically. You will enter all of your information and pay right then. So, with that being said, be prepared to pay when you register. You will need a debit or credit card to pay. Club packages will be shipped to the destination you specify via FedEx prior to the show, but in plenty of time for you to distribute them to your members.
Now for the details.
AutoFair will be held April 9th - April 11th.
The registration fee for each car will be $50. That will register your car & get entry wristbands for the driver and 3 passengers. Children 12 & under are free and do not require a wrist band. That's right - two additional wristbands with each car registered. Now I know that the fee is higher, but if you walk up to the gate and buy a 3-day ticket, you will pay $50 so look at it that way.
There will also be a change in the trophy distribution. Each club will now be receiving a very nice larger trophy (still in the traditional AF design we know & love) that will read the name of your club & CMS AutoFair 2026. You can use that trophy how you wish within your club. Speedway awards & of course our beloved Walt Hollifield Best of Show award will remain the same.
As always, we are looking forward to seeing everyone! This show will be different without having our beloved Walt Hollifield with us, but I hope that you all will join us in making this show the best yet in honor of Walt!

Autofair passes are getting addressed today and going in the mail tomorrow!! STILL HAVE ONE PASS AVAILABLE IF SOMEONE ELSE WANTS TO SHOW THEIR CAR. If so, contact me ASAP.
They have switched from paper passes to wrist straps. This wrist strap is good for all three days, but it is not removable without cutting or destroying it so don’t try to take it off once you put it on.
I also try to be helpful for those that are bringing more than one guest so if you need an extra wrist strap or you only need one, please let me know. I will try to supply an extra wrist strap to those that need it if anybody else only needs one. Attached map shows us on the track coming out of turn four… I have highlighted our location.

Okay everybody we have our 7 spots for the Autofair and I have paid for them. I have received payment from Forrest, David, Billy, Steve and Lester. If you don't see your name please send payment or check in with me ASAP. Credentials meeting is next month so will have more info by then. If you still want to register to attend let me know! I can work on getting one more space if needed.
