Century Savings Banks, under the leadership of Branch Manager Sandra Quinn, arranged for the Paulsboro Pegasus Education Foundation to receive a small business grant. The $5,000 grant, when matched by the Board of Education, will provide $10,000 to enhance teaching and learning in the Paulsboro Public Schools. When Ms. Quinn presented the check to PPEF President Walt Quint and Vice President Steve Anuszewski they awarded a Pegasus Statue to Century Saving Bank in recognition of its status as one its four highest dollar amount donors. PPEF is very grateful to Century Saving Bank, Sandy Quinn and all of its donors for their generous support of its programs.

The Pegasus Scholars Program allows students to earn college credits prior to graduation for Paulsboro High School. The program is a joint project of the Paulsboro Board of Education and the Paulsboro Pegasus Education Foundation. The following data demonstrates that this is a very successful program.

Two Pegasus Scholars are members of the PHS Class of 2026. It is likely that they will earn the associate's degree just prior to graduation for high school.

The following information summarizes the outcomes for the Pegasus Scholars Program for the past three years. The Board of Education and Pegasus Education Foundation contribute matching funds so that Paulsboro High School students can take college level courses while they are still enrolled at PHS.

This year 11 Pegasus Scholars earned scores of 3 or higher on Advanced Placement Exams. Two of the students earned high AP scores on two exams each.

The Paulsboro Pegasus Education Foundation will conduct the annual PHS Hall of Distinguished Alumni Induction Ceremony on Saturday, April 5, 2026. The following is a list of the PHS HODA Inductees. Congratulations to all and commendations to the school that launched them to success.

Deadline Extended - March 21, 2025 - It's not too late to RSVP to attend the 2025 PHS Hall of Distinguished Alumni Reception. Contact Danielle Richardson, Secretary to the PHS Principal at [email protected] to make reservations for the reception dinner at the Sportsmen's Club. No need to RSVP to attend the induction ceremony.

The PHS Hall of Distinguished Alumni is a Red Tie event of the Paulsboro Pegasus Education Foundation.

The Paulsboro Pegasus Education Foundation (PPEF) partners with the Paulsboro Board of Education to pay the tuition for Paulsboro High School students taking college level courses. The program is now in its 3rd year.

The Pegasus Scholars is a very successful program that is making a positive impact on the lives of the students.

Thank you to the school administration, board of education, the PPEF Trustees and sponsors for enriching teaching and learning in the Paulsboro Public Schools.

I am excited to announce that the Sons and Daughters of Italy - Carmel S. Morina Lodge is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner to support the Paulsboro Pegasus Education Foundation Feed the Children Campaign. 100% of the proceeds for this event will be used by PPEF to purchase gift cards to local grocery stores to help provide food stability for the families of some of the neediest students. As with other PPEF programs the Board of Education provides matching funds to those donated by the Foundation.

I urge you to purchase tickets for this event. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to attend the dinner. Kindly, share this announcement as much as possible on Facebook and on other social media outlets.
