Town of Ridgeway

Town of Ridgeway Ridgeway is a historic town in Fairfield County, SC. Ridgeway is rich in history and is a must see. The railroad spurred growth of the town.

Originally known as New Town, Ridgeway obtained its present name when the owners of the Charlotte and South Carolina Railway decided not to build the railroad on the Camden route, but rather to use the "ridge way." In more recent years, Ridgeway has experienced a revival of businesses, shops, boutiques and restaurants, thus helping it become an "award-winning" community in South Carolina.
