We stand with our Brothers and Sisters of the DeKalb Fire Department during such a difficult time. Our prayers go out to them as they continue to bravely serve their community and miss one of their own. We also offer the deepest condolences to the family of this Firefighter/Paramedic and the entire DeKalb community.
The City of DeKalb regrets to inform the community of the tragic passing of one of our firefighter/paramedics on Monday, April 6, 2026. Our focus remains on supporting the firefighter’s family, friends, and our department members during this difficult time.
