Love to see that it's back!

We are excited to announce the return of the Michigan Nature magazine! After an extended hiatus, we are thrilled to once again resume MNA's signature publication, which will be releasing biannually.

Michigan Nature Magazine features stories on exciting conservation projects, dives into the fascinating peculiarities of our favorite flora and fauna, and provides updates on science, stewardship and education! Featured side-by-side with a gallery of stunning nature photos, come check out our latest edition to learn more about Michigan's endangered habitats and wildlife, as well as the people, projects and organizations working to conserve and protect them.

If you would like to make sure you receive a printed copy of this or future editions, please consider making a donation. 🌱 Help Us Plant the Future! 🌱

Join the Berrien County Conservation District
for our upcoming Hall Park Restoration Native Planting event on Friday, May 22 from 10 AM – 2 PM at Hall Park! Together, we’ll be restoring important wetland habitat by planting native species that support local wildlife, improve water quality, and strengthen our ecosystem for generations to come.

This is a hands-on volunteer opportunity, so come ready to get a little muddy while making a real difference in our community! Please bring:
🧤 Gloves
🥾 Boots
🌿 A spade shovel if you have one

Due to the marshy terrain, this event is not recommended for children under 10.

Every plant put in the ground helps restore and protect Berrien County’s natural resources. We hope to see you there! 💚

Healthy Riverscapes need structural elements to support diversity of flow, sediment, and vegetation. Riparian habitats help provide these structural elements to force changes in flow patterns producing physically diverse habitats resulting in varied residence times for water, sediment, and vegetation over various spatial and temporal scales. Thank you riparian owners that leave the riparian wild!
