The Osage Nation Language Department sends our prayers and condolences to the family, friends, students, and loved ones of Dr. Steve Pratt. He was widely respected for his knowledge of the Osage language and for his lifelong dedication to the Osage community through his cultural leadership and ceremonial responsibilities. We were fortunate to have Dr. Pratt share his knowledge, provide guidance, and inspire many people on their own language journeys. We extend our deepest condolences to everyone in mourning at this time.

Here, Dr. Steve Pratt is photographed alongside his fellow Osage Nation Language Department teachers.
