Hi Pawhuska! Due to public response, SUMMER READING PROGRAMS 12:45 - 1:45 pm are now taking place AT THE PAWHUSKA COMMUNITY CENTER, corner of Main St. and Lynn Ave. Our thanks to Pawhuska's kids & parents for their enthusiastic participation! For the first three weeks of summer, attendance at our afternoon programs has been 79, 64, and 69. Parents are unanimous in requesting extra space, so to the Community Center we go.
BOOKS will be CHECKED OUT or IN at PAWHUSKA LIBRARY. Library hours are 9:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.

June 17 - The Science of Fireworks by Discovery Lab, Tulsa
June 24 - Balloon Animals by Joe the Balloon Man.
OUR THANKS TO: Ranger Kyle Thoreson, Osage Hills State Park, for presenting "Uncovering Artifacts & Fossils at Osage Hills" Wed. June 10; and to American Storyteller Nick Waters, for presenting our 6:00 pm Family Program: "The 1930's Milkman" (who became a star of Disney studios.)

Hi Pawhuska Kids & Parents! We have experienced two great weeks of Summer Reading at Pawhuska Public Library: Camp Crafts & Horseback Riding, attendance 79; and Unearth a Story, attendance 64..
Next week we will have TWO Summer Reading programs: WEDNESDAY, June 10 at 12:45 pm, at THE LIBRARY Ranger Kyle from Osage Hills State Park shares Fossils & strange stuff he's found.
THURSDAY June 11 at 6:00 pm at the COMMUNITY CENTER the American Storyteller Nick Waters takes us on a TIME TRAVEL journey to the 1930's. Thursday evening programs are Family Programs, so parents & grandparents, bring yourselves & your kids for a fun family outing!

SUMMER READING 2026 OPENS! On Wednesday May 27, 12:45 - 1:45 pm, Pawhuska Public Library had a GREAT opening to Summer Reading 2026! 49 children and 30 adults attended our Kick-Off Celebration on the library lawn! Boy Scout Troop 43 led by Scoutmaster Bruce Hendren provided games, an obstacle course, and grilled hot dogs. Disc golf, whiffle ball, and soccer got everyone ready for those hot dogs!

The Clement family (Steve, Jamie, Crystal, and grandkids) provided two horses for children to ride and two sheep to pet. The kids had great fun riding Blue Boy and Maggie May, and meeting lambs Helen and Sybil.
(The Library took care of hot dogs, drinks, chips, & cookies.)

Summer Reading returns WEDNESDAY through July 22, 12:45 - 1:45 pm, with a different KID'S' program each week in the Library Meeting Room. Keep posted, or call/come by Pawhuska Library for updates. 918-287-3989.

NEW FOR SUMMER 2026: Two FAMILY Programs THURSDAYS 6 - 7 pm at the Pawhuska Community Center. Family Programs are for parents, grandparents, and kids of all ages!
