2026 OSAGE NATION INAUGURATION |The Osage Nation Inauguration Planning Committee is pleased to announce the 2026 Osage Nation Inauguration Ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Skyline Event Center inside Osage Casino & Hotel, located at 951 W. 36th St. N. in Tulsa.

The ceremony will mark the beginning of a new term of service for elected leaders of the Osage Nation. Officials elected during the June 1, 2026, Osage Nation General Election to the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative branches of government will take their Oaths of Office before family, friends, and community members.

Today, this hardworking crew helped move 200 food boxes for Hominy Public Schools as part of the Osage Nation Social Services Department’s Summer Food Service Feeding Program. The program provides shelf-stable breakfast and lunch meals to all children - Native and non-Native - 18 years of age and younger, or age 19 if their birthday occurred during the 2025-26 academic year.

The Summer Youth Worker Program is about more than gaining work experience - it’s about building skills, developing leadership, and giving back to the community. We are proud of these young people for stepping up to help ensure local families have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer.

LASTING LEGACY | The Osage Nation is honored to offer the Unmarked Graves Program, which provides financial assistance for the creation, delivery, and installation of grave markers for deceased Osage individuals whose graves remain unmarked.

Eligible families may receive up to $2,200 per grave marker and may work with a vendor of their choice. This program helps ensure our loved ones are remembered, honored, and their resting places properly marked for future generations.

Through collaboration, advocacy, and guidance, the Oklahoma Advisory on Indian Education helped ensure that Indigenous perspectives and educational needs were represented in conversations shaping the future of education in our state.

We celebrate the legacy of the Oklahoma Advisory Council of Indian Education and support efforts to see this important board continue. Native students deserve advocates at every table where decisions about their education are made.

Osage Nation leadership was proudly represented today at the 2026 Sovereignty Symposium ###VIII at OKANA Resort in Oklahoma City.

Osage Nation Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear joined an esteemed panel discussion, "From Consultation to Collaboration: Intergovernmental Leadership in Indian Country," highlighting the importance of strong partnerships between Tribal Nations, local governments, and federal leaders.

The discussion brought together leaders from across Indian Country, including Oklahoma City Mayor (Osage) David Holt, Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols, Muscogee Nation Principal Chief David Hill, Cherokee Nation Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner, and former Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Indian Affairs Bryan Newland.

Q & A | The Osage Nation Food Assistance Program is a new direct-assistance benefit initiative administered by the Osage Nation Department of Natural Resources. The program provides eligible Osage Nation members with up to $250 in annual food assistance benefits to help reduce food insecurity, promote healthy living, and support the well-being of Osage families. The assistance benefits can only be used for Butcher House Meats and Harvest Land grocery products.

The application period is open June 1–30, 2026.
