The Fall cycle of Grants for the Common Good is now open!

This cycle supports work across four focus areas: addressing the root causes of poverty, meeting basic human needs, promoting economic vitality, and preserving the environment.

The first step in the process, the online Letter of Intent, will be accepted June 8 through July 17 at www.bunnelle.org.

Over the past five months, Audra Nesbit has been a valued member of Team Bunnelle, serving as our temporary Office & Administrative Coordinator and jumping right into major initiatives like Pathways2Possibilities and our Community Conversations series.

What makes her time with us even more special is that Audra's Bunnelle story started years ago as a member of our Youth Board. A Georgetown native and Georgetown High School graduate, her return to the Foundation has been a true full-circle moment.

Reflecting on her experience, Audra shared:

"I am forever grateful to Ashley Nelson, the entire team at Bunnelle, and the nonprofit leaders I met along the way for the opportunity to learn more about the place and people that have shaped me into who I am today."

Audra brought kindness, curiosity, and a genuine passion for community to everything she did. While we're sad to see her go, we're excited to watch her begin her next chapter at MUSC School of Dental Medicine.

Please join us in wishing Audra all the best as she starts dental school. We know she has a bright future ahead, and we're grateful she was part of ours. 💙

Mental health affects every family, every workplace, and every part of our community.

On Wednesday, May 27, we’re inviting people across Georgetown County to wear a shade of green to support mental health awareness. It’s a simple way to show you care and help open up important conversations, especially when so many are still not getting the help they need.

By coming together, we can reduce stigma, support one another, and remind our neighbors they are not alone.

But what matters most can’t be fully captured in numbers. This was about community 💙

Nonprofits cheering each other on, sharing stories of the people they serve, and showing up together. It was staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and neighbors lifting one another up and proving what’s possible when we collaborate for a better Georgetown County.
