Little Smurf's Inc. Child Development Center stopped by the Foundation office this afternoon on their way home to Andrews after a trip to EdVenture and lunch in Myrtle Beach.

The early learning provider wanted to show off their new bus, funded through a Foundation grant. Then the children stepped off the bus.

Hugs, high fives, and big smiles followed as they stopped by just to say thank you.

Thank you to the Little Smurf team and the children for sharing part of their day with us.

Today, the Foundation joins many others in remembering Dolly Parton and celebrating the lasting impact of her commitment to children and literacy. Through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, children receive free, age-appropriate books each month from birth through age five, helping build a foundation for lifelong learning.

Since 2007, the Frances P. Bunnelle Foundation has invested nearly $500,000 to support the Imagination Library in Georgetown County. The Foundation is grateful for its partnership with Miss Ruby's Kids whose leadership helps connect local children and families with these books year after year.

Dolly Parton's legacy lives on through every child who discovers the joy of reading and every family building a library at home.

Saint Frances Animal Center needs our community's help.
Some moments call on all of us to step up. This is one of them.

More than 100 dogs and cats were recently brought into the care of Saint Frances Animal Center. Already stretched beyond capacity, the shelter is now working to assess each animal's condition while providing the care, comfort, and attention they need.

Saint Frances is urgently seeking volunteers (16+ years old) to help with watering bowls, kennel cleaning, and daily animal care. They're also looking for mobile dog groomers, veterinarians, and veterinary professionals willing to donate their time and expertise.

Many of these animals arrived in difficult condition and need immediate grooming, medical attention, and compassionate care.

Many hands make light work. If you can give a few hours, lend your professional skills, or help spread the word, your support can make a meaningful difference today.
