💙💛 Grandparents Day at Waccamaw Elementary was such a special afternoon! 💛💙

We loved welcoming so many grandparents and special guests to campus for an afternoon filled with smiles, sweet memories, and time together. Guests enjoyed visiting our Book Fair, sharing cookies and lemonade, and receiving a special gift made by our students just for them. 📚🍪🍋💝

We are especially grateful to our Waccamaw Elementary School PTO for their support and for helping bring all of the special touches together for the afternoon. 🐬✨

Thank you to everyone who helped make Grandparents Day such a memorable event for our students and their families. We are so grateful for the love and support of our school family! 💙💛

Grandparents Day is Almost Here!

We’re excited to welcome our WES grandparents and special guests for a fun afternoon with their favorite Dolphins! 🐬✨

⏰ 3:30–5:00 PM

📚 And there’s a special bonus! Our Book Fair will open early just for Grandparents Day! Grandparents and special guests can spend time with their Dolphin AND enjoy some extra-special Book Fair shopping together. 📖🛍️

This past Friday night, students from across our Waccamaw schools came together as one for a very special performance. Our WES Dolphins joined the Gators from Waccamaw Intermediate and the Warriors from Waccamaw Middle and High School to sing the National Anthem together. 🎶🇺🇸

The performance helped kick off Waccamaw High School’s first home football game of the season and was a wonderful reminder that although our students attend different schools, we are all part of the same Waccamaw family.

We are so proud of our students for representing WES and being part of such a meaningful display of unity, school spirit, and community pride!

Join the Tidewater Twirlers on Tuesdays from September through April in the Waccamaw Elementary Gym!

✨ Ages 10–18: 4:45–5:30 PM

🎉💙💛 Birthday Tables Are Returning! 💛💙🎉

We’re excited to celebrate our Waccamaw student birthdays each month!

⭐ Students may sit at the Birthday Table with ONE guest — a parent/guardian or classmate.
🪪 Adult guests must present a valid photo ID when entering the building.
📅 Birthday Tables will be held during the last week of each month.

Birthday Table Lunch Times:
Pre-K: 10:05 AM
Kindergarten: 10:20 AM
1st Grade: 11:10 AM
2nd Grade: 11:50 AM
3rd Grade: 12:35 PM

Families may also send in a special treat on their child’s actual birthday. Treats may be served during lunch for grades 1–3 or during snack time for Pre-K & Kindergarten. Store-bought treats are highly recommended.

Open House was filled with happy faces, colorful classrooms, and lots of excitement for the new school year! We loved welcoming our students and families back to WES and watching everyone meet their teachers and explore the school.
