PSA: do NOT call 911 to report a power outage, call the non emergency line at 508-210-5600. ONLY Call 911 if there is a life threatening issue to yourself or someone else, the line came down on someone’s car, there is a fire, sparks or smoke, or you have medical equipment that requires electricity.

Do NOT call the 911 line or the non emergency line to get updates or restoration times. Do not overwhelm the dispatchers or tie up the lines. We understand that loss of power can be frustrating and an inconvenience but a simple power outage goes not constitute an emergency.

Please remember that PMLD has a very small linecrew which means they do not always have time to report back to dispatchers or office staff restoration times. They focus on getting the power back on.

UPDATE: All power has been restored.

Thankfully our original post of an hour long town wide outage was premature. The linemen were able to quickly locate the issue preventing them from isolating the line on Richards Ave. resulting in just a quick loss of power for most of the town.

Public Annoucement

Crews are working diligently to address issues caused by a large downed tree. Due to safety concerns, PMLD is going to have to deenegeize power to the whole town. The isolators are not working as intended to segregate the line with the tree. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. The anticipated time frame of the outage is an hour.
