Thank you Stand Alone Drone Services LLC for posting these great shots!! This was a great day of fun and learning for everyone at the event!

As a reminder to all drone pilots, please give first responders room to work. A drone in the area will prevent a medical helicopter from landing at a scene. Delayed patient care of this level could be very detrimental to a critical patient. If a medical helicopter were to strike a drone while landing, it grounds a helicopter until an aircraft mechanic can fully inspect the aircraft.

Stand Alone and other professional drone services in our area do a great job of avoiding the area during those times, and we thank them for that!

Today we remember. Today will always sit heavy.

We all have our own way of remembering the events of 9/11/2001. Many of us can remember exactly where we were when we first learned of the attacks on our great country.

A couple of our volunteers remember in their own way by completing the stair climb at Parkview field. The stair climb simulates the number of stairs some of those brave men and women climbed on 9/11 to help those on one of our country’s darkest days.

At the :17 second mark you can catch volunteer FF/EMT Dyson Scott and one of our daytime staff members FF/EMT Reide Jackson as they descend the stairs at the bottom of the screen. Thank you, Reide and Dyson, for your tribute to the fallen.

We invite members of the community to use our parking lot Saturday as Big Boy 4014 drives through. Please use the parking lot for cars and you are welcome to put up chairs in the side yard. The building will not be open. All we ask in return is that you are kind and respectful to each other and the property!
