**John Wilson Owen American Legion Auxiliary Unit 147** extends our heartfelt condolences and invites our members, friends, and the Payson community to join in celebrating Michelle's life on **Sunday, August 9, at 1:00 p.m.** at the American Legion Post 69 on hwy 260.

One of the greatest ways we can support our veterans, their families, and our community is simply by being there for one another. Whether you knew Michelle personally or wish to show your support for her loved ones and our American Legion Family, your presence will be appreciated.

Please see the celebration information below. In honor of Michelle, guests are invited to wear one of her favorite colors: **red, purple, pink, or blue.**

To all those Payson Kids who came out to make these beautiful pictures for our Memorial Day Poppy posters contest, we will be displaying your posters for the public during our Payson July 4th celebration Parade on route near the main street American Legion Post 147 office. We are all proud of you and loved your renditions of the symbol that helps us remember those lost in war, those that did not come home. For all the Veterans and their lost comrades, We Thank You 🇺🇸

Hey Everyone check out what we The ALA Unit 147 have been up to since our beginning last year, what's new on our agenda and all those taking new posts this year. We have so many exciting things happening for the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 147 of Payson Arizona working to help our Veterans programs. We will be by the Post office on Main Street during the 4th of July Parade, come check out what we have to offer and who we represent during this 250th Celebration of this Our United States. Can't wait to see you all out there!!!! Happy Birthday America 🇺🇸🎉🎊

Today was a wonderful celebration of Flag Day and the 251st Birthday of the United States Army.

A heartfelt thank you to the Elks Lodge, Payson Military Honor Guard Post 147, DAR, Town of Payson Parks & Recreation, Lions Club, Firefighters, Scouts, photographers, volunteers, veterans, and all the community members who attended and helped make this event so special.

From the presentation of the HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN FLAG to the folding of the flag, each person played a part in honoring our nation, our flag, and those who have served.

Together we demonstrated what makes Payson such a remarkable community—patriotism, service, respect, and unity.
