Our hearts are heavy as we extend our deepest condolences to Trans Aero MedEvac following the tragic accident in New Mexico this morning. While this was not an Air Methods program, every loss is felt within the close-knit community of first responders and emergency medical professionals. We stand alongside the Trans Aero MedEvac Team during this incredibly difficult time, honoring the dedication, service, and sacrifice of those who answer the call in life’s most critical moments. Our thoughts are with the crew, their families, loved ones, and the entire Trans Aero Team as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

We are heartbroken by last night’s helicopter crash involving the AZDPS Ranger. Our deepest condolences go out to the families, friends, and colleagues of the two lives lost. We hold the entire Arizona Department of Public Safety community in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for your courage, service, and sacrifice. 💙🕊️

Yesterday we had the honor of participating in the Shop With a Hero event. Santa chose to trade in his sleigh for a day and fly in with us! Thank you to the Rim Country agencies for including us in this special event. Thank you to Santa for choosing to fly with us!

The Town of Payson Fire Department would like to share information about a special fundraising event hosted by the Northern Gila County Firefighters Union Local 4135 to help Traci Plues, a local paramedic, with medical and living expenses related to her cancer diagnosis.

For 41 years, through more than 80,000 flights and 40,000 ground transports, the remarkable members of the Vanderbilt LifeFlight team have saved countless lives. Since inception, the program has highlighted safety as its most important priority. Despite the inherent risk of this work, these dedicated individuals feel called to serve patients in their most vulnerable moments, critically injured or ill.

Yesterday, three crew members serving on LifeFlight 1 were involved in an accident when their aircraft went down in an unpopulated area in Wilson County, TN. There was no patient on board at the time. Allan Williams, RN, Flight Nurse/Paramedic, did not survive. Andrew “Andy” Sikes, Critical Care Flight Paramedic, and the aircraft’s pilot, whose family has asked for privacy at this time, were seriously injured and remain in our care.

As we grieve with Allan’s family, I ask you to please join me in support of them as well as Andy, the pilot and their families.
