Our Public Safety Department was proud to join Tonto Rim Search & Rescue for the groundbreaking ceremony of their new home base for training and equipment storage. This new facility will provide greater efficiency, organization, and preparedness as their team continues its commitment to excellence in emergency response.

Tonto Rim Search & Rescue is an invaluable partner to the Town’s public safety services, working alongside our teams to help ensure a coordinated, efficient response to emergencies throughout Payson and the surrounding areas. We are grateful for their continued dedication to keeping our community and Rim Country safe.

Our Payson Parks and Rec team is gearing up for a full season of youth flag football! With a packed league ahead, our team is putting in the time and training to make sure this season is fun, organized, and memorable for every player and family involved.

Members of the Payson Police Department, Payson Parks and Rec, and Town Council had a great time joining in the fun with local students at this past Saturday’s Annual Back to School Bash! The event was hosted through the local businesses of a Town Council Member-Elect and our Mayor-Elect, and other partners, bringing the community together to celebrate the start of another school year.

Along with plenty of fun and great food, students had the chance to send some familiar faces into the dunk tank, including the School Resource Officer, Parks & Rec Sports Director, coaches, teachers, and more! It was a great day filled with laughs, connection, and community spirit as we kicked off a new school year together.

Congratulations to all of the candidates who participated in this year's municipal election, and thank you to every community member who took the time to vote.

Election results have been announced, and we appreciate everyone who contributed to the election process—whether by running for office, volunteering, or casting a ballot.

The newly elected officials will be officially seated at the Town Council meeting on December 9. We look forward to welcoming them as they begin their service to our community.

With a tear in me one good eye and a sigh in me pirate heart, I must bring grim news from the crow's nest. 🌩️🏴‍☠️

Tonight's Movie in the Park has been postponed, for angry thunderclouds be sailin' toward our shores and the storm be lookin' fierce!

This old pirate be truly sorry for the inconvenience, and we thank ye kindly for understandin'. Fear not, though—we'll chart a new course and announce a fresh date as soon as the skies grow calm again.

Until then, stay dry, keep yer popcorn safe from the rain, and may fair winds carry us back together soon! 🎬🍿⚓

Our local soccer community has experienced incredible growth over the past few years. Youth leagues are filling up, our high school teams are competing for championships, and new club programs continue to create more opportunities for players of all ages.

With all of this activity comes plenty of wear and tear on our parks and athletic fields. A big thank you to our Parks and Maintenance teams for the hard work they put in to keep these facilities in great condition. Their dedication helps ensure our athletes, coaches, and families can continue enjoying safe, well-maintained spaces to practice, compete, and make lasting memories.

Town of Payson Fire Department brought the water features to the Annual RVN3 Foundation Bubba Run this past Sunday morning. Thank you also to Payson Parks and Rec for helping with the setup on Saturday.
