BURN BAN IN EFFECT AT 12:01AM ON AUGUST 4

All outdoor burning, which includes recreational fires, will be prohibited begin Tuesday August 4, 2026. Until modified by the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners or the Lewis County Fire Marshal, only liquid gas or propane camp stoves that do not use solid briquettes and have on/off controls are permitted.

Here are a few pictures of LCFD11 Pe Ell VFD training and dealing with a situation of a mass casualty incident in our response area, along with additional assistance from LCFD13 Boistfort VFD.

D11 operates A11-1 with transport capabilities when staffed with at least one EMT. D13 operates A13-1 as an aide response vehicle and has transport capabilities in rare extreme circumstances such as a mass casualty incident when staffed with at least one EMT.

I want to thank the Pastor of the Dryad Church for allowing to utilize their large meeting/kitchen area along with the backyard for our training.

These are the type of responses that we must unfortunately train for and hope/pray that we never need to truly deal with.

All of these participants "patients/victims" were from D11 and D16. This training incident dealt with 5 individuals, with 4 of the 5 needing transport to various higher levels of care.

PRESS RELEASE LEWIS COUNTY BURN RESTRICTIONS BEGIN JULY 15 >>>>

Starting at 12:01 a.m. July 15, 2026, the Lewis County Fire Marshal will officially enact the first seasonal burn restrictions for all unincorporated areas of Lewis County. These restrictions will remain in place through October 15, 2026, unless lifted earlier by the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Under the new annual restrictions, outdoor burning is prohibited on all lands regulated by Lewis County EXCEPT FOR recreational campfires in designated campgrounds and on private lands that meet the Lewis County Code (see attached figure).

Your fire dept doing various rescue operations training. This training dealt with having to assess one patient trapped under a debris pile along side some sort of piece of equipment-aka stuck under a dump trailer and pile of wood. They also found a second patient halfway into the training they had to deal with. Lifting, moving and cutting debris-along with medical stabilization and transport of patients.
