Thanks GovTech! We will continue to innovate the app for all our partner agencies and users.

Focusing on citizens controlling their data, tip privacy, and adding useful features for the public.

As "free" tools and social networks continue to take user data and sell it, MyPD and partner Police departments remain dedicated to not selling citizen data or showing ads with their community app.

It is important for police departments to take seriously what tools they use, what they encourage citizens to sign up for, and know how those platform use their public's data..

Now in the hands of about 100 law enforcement agencies across the country, the fourth iteration of the MyPD app aims to attract more users with new features, ease of use and an assurance of privacy.

Today is that “something special”.
While we here at the Framingham Police Dept. can’t control the weather, today our officers hope to bring a little sunshine into the life of a very special little boy. Framingham resident Devin Suau will be sworn in as Chief of Framingham Police for the day. A full police motorcade will report to Chief Devin’s home to pick him and his family members up. Chief Devin will then be transported back to police headquarters where he will be sworn in by Town Clerk Valerie Mulvey and pinned with his chief’s badge. From there, he will be given a tour of his police station and meet the officers under his command.
Go to our twitter https://twitter.com/FraminghamPD for live updates or check back here later to view photos.

Recently, WHP Trooper Jaime Wingard stopped out with a broken down motorist near Wheatland, Wyoming and soon discovered that a mother and her handicapped daughter were driving to Children's Hospital in Denver when their vehicle broke down. They stated they had help on the way and needed no assistance at the moment. Trooper Wingard gave them some phone numbers with information to try and assist, as well as providing them her state cell phone number.

Trooper Wingard departed and went home. While off duty, the individuals contacted her. They were distraught as their help wasn't panning out and they desperately needed to get to Denver. They asked if Trooper Wingard could give them a ride to the state line in her patrol car, but had no idea what to do after that.

Trooper Wingard was off duty at this time, and even if she was on duty, a ride to the state line wouldn't be feasible. Trooper Wingard felt compelled to assist the mom and daughter and took her personal vehicle out to where they were broke down and gave them a ride to the hospital in Denver. She did this on her own time, in her own vehicle, and at her own expense.

We can think of no better example of empathy and genuine care for others than this. This is just one illustration of many of the strong moral character that Trooper Wingard possesses. Way to go Jaime!

K9 Klaas Locates Occupants who Fled Crash in Foxboro

On Sunday February 19th around 4:30 a.m., the State Police Foxboro Barracks began receiving calls of a vehicle that crashed in the median of I-95 in Foxboro. Trooper Tim Blackwell of the K9 unit was in the area and arrived on scene first. Trooper Blackwell observed that the vehicle was not occupied and he deployed K9 Klaas on a track from the vehicle. Klaas acquired the scent on the other side of the highway and tracked down to a deer fence. He tracked along the deer fence for a distance, jumped the fence and tracked deeper into the woods. While tracking through the woods Klaas tracked to a fully charged iPhone which Trooper Blackwell secured. After tracking for a half mile into the woods Klaas located a man and woman. They were cooperative and walked back to I-95. Trooper Shane O’Reilly of the Foxboro Barracks investigated and subsequently arrested the operator of the vehicle for OUI alcohol.

K9 Caber Locates Endangered Child in Northborough

On Monday February 6th around 8:30 p.m., the Northborough Police Department requested assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old. Trooper Matt Baird of the K9 Unit responded to assist along with troopers from the Troop C Community Action Team. After learning that the child had been missing for over two hours, Trooper Baird retrieved the child’s pillow case and utilized it as a scent article. Trooper Baird deployed K9 Caber from the pillow case and he acquired the scent. Caber tracked from the residence along the street for a distance before losing the scent. Trooper Baird started working his partner back towards the residence. While working back, Caber showed a hard head snap and pulled behind a housing unit into an area of evergreen trees. Caber showed a strong proximity alert barking along the fence line and pulling in and out of the trees. Caber then pulled over to a group of trees, where the child was located. The child was returned safely to his family by Northborough PD.
