We are so grateful for all the support we received from our community and beyond while we dealt with a tough loss. Captain Dennis Grande was laid to rest with a service he fully deserved. A special thank you to the Union Fire District of South Kingstown, Rhode Island and all stations and departments who assisted. Thank you also to Richmond - Carolina Fire District for covering our station and keeping our community safe during the services.

Peace Dale Fire Department is shocked and saddened to announce that Captain and UFD Battalion Chief Dennis Grande passed away early this morning. Dennis was a staple of our department and the Union Fire District of South Kingstown. Known best for making all of us laugh and smile at any given moment. As we mourn the loss of a great fireman, friend, and life member, we can all look back at all the individual moments on and off the fire grounds we all hold in our memories. We also extend our deepest condolences to the entire Grande Family.

Congratulations Patrick and Nick!
Probationary firefighters Patrick Young and Nick Given came to PDFD with public safety in their blood. Through hard work and dedication they learned the basics and completed their probationary training with the UFD.
This past weekend they both graduated from the RI Fire Academy, Class 018, and will go onto careers as full time firefighters!
We thank Pat and Nick for their service to the Town of South Kingstown and wish them the best with their careers! Union Fire District of South Kingstown, Rhode Island

Peace Dale Fire celebrated its annual Breakfast with Santa today and we all had a wonderful day! Despite a visit from the Grinch the children of our members and friends had a chance to spend some time at the station with us. Once of the most challenging parts of being volunteer firefighters is leaving our children and families at a moments notice to respond to calls. We cannot thank our families enough for the love and support they provide ❤️.
