It was a busy day for your RFFC Volunteers with four calls answered this afternoon.

Time out 12:29 - Dwelling Fire

Engine 89-3 W/6 and Tanker 89 W/2 assisted Refton Fire Company on a dwelling fire on the unit block of Krantz Mill Road in Providence Township.

The Tanker was clear of the scene at 13:22 while the Engine cleared the scene at 13:52.

Time out 13:02 - Public Service

Squad 89 W/5 made the response to assist Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Company on the 1400 block of Silver Spring Road in Drumore Township for a report of a cat stuck in a rain gutter aprox. 24 feet off the ground. Upon further investigation it was determined that the feline had self extricated.

The Squad was clear of the scene at 13:32.

Time out 14:01 - Barn Fire

Engine 89-3 W/6 made the response to assist Willow Street Fire Company on the barn fire on the 1900 block of Hans Herr Drive in West Lampeter Township soon after clearing the dwelling fire. Tanker 89 W/2 was called in at 14:09.

The Tanker cleared the scene at 15:28, while the Engine cleared the scene at 18:48.

Time out 15:02 - Dwelling Fire

Engine 89-1 W/5 was dispatched by Cecil County 911 to assist Community Fire Company of Rising Sun, Inc. on the 300 block of Slicers Mill Road for a dwelling fire.

The Engine was recalled by Chief 8 at 15:15 before Lancaster County 911 dispatched us.

YAY…IT’S BREAKFAST SATURDAY!!!

This Saturday, June 20, from 6-10AM, is our monthly all you can eat breakfast.

We offer scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage links and patties, bacon, home fries (with or without onions), sausage and dry beef gravy, toast, biscuits, english muffins, assorted deserts, coffee, water, orange juice and Maplehofe chocolate milk.

The all you can eat breakfast is $12.00, children 5-10 years old $3.00 and children under 5 are free. We now accept cash, credit cards ($1 fee per transaction) or our PayPal app.

Take outs are available for $12.00.

Your Robert Fulton Volunteers answered two public service calls just after storms swept through the Southern End.

If you are heading out in the morning please use caution as there is debris all over the roads, particularly in the SE section of Little Britain Township.

We would also like to take this time to advise all that if you come across a tree on the roadway, it is not the fire companies responsibility to cut up and remove the tree. Please call either the respective township, or, if it’s a state road, contact PennDOT. HOWEVER, if the tree, wires, or pole is on fire, lease call 911 and report it so that we can ensure the fire will not damage any nearby structures or otherwise get out of control.

Also, if you come across wires down, DO NOT assume they are not power and that they are not energized!! Close to 400 people die every year from getting to close to downed power lines. Always use extreme caution and stay clear!

Utility and UTV 89 W/5 and Brush 89 W/5 made the response to the area of the Clark Nature Preserve in Martic Township to assist Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Company with an environmental rescue.

All RFFC Volunteers were available at 19:54.

Time out 15:49 - Brush Fire

Brush 89 W/5, Tanker 89 W/2 and Squad 89 W/5 made the response to the 1500 block of Lancaster Pike in Drumore Township for a small wood pile on fire.

Brush 89 made a quick stop on the fire while the Tanker and Squad were returned.

All RFFC Volunteers were clear of the scene at 16:06 with 23 members signing in for the incident.
