Thank you to everyone who made our Inaugural Hualapai Fire & EMS Junior Fire Academy a tremendous success!
Over the course of the academy, our cadets learned important fire safety principles, basic first aid, hands-only CPR, and introductory firefighter skills. They explored our fire engines, ambulances, and specialized equipment, then put their new knowledge to work by using teamwork to search for and rescue a mannequin from a simulated "burning" building.
Most importantly, they built confidence, learned how to help others, and discovered what it means to serve their community. The enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination these young participants demonstrated made us incredibly proud and we had just as much fun as they did!
We hope this academy is only the beginning. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and public servants and provide a pathway into the fire and EMS profession. We look forward to welcoming these future responders back to our Junior Fire Academy each year as they continue to learn and grow.
To every cadet who attended: thank you for your hard work and positive attitude. Remember, Hualapai Fire & EMS is always here for you. Whether it's an emergency, a question about fire and EMS, or you simply need someone to turn to, our doors are always open. We hope you know you can count on us, because that's what we're here for.
