πŸ‘€ What should you do in the first minutes of an emergency, before help arrives? πŸš‘

Peachtree City's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) teaches you exactly that.

Over nine Thursday evenings, you'll practice basic medical treatment, search and rescue, fire suppression, active shooter awareness, emergency preparedness, and disaster psychology, then put it all together in a mock disaster exercise. Every session is hands-on.

The class is free, and only 16 seats are available. Details are on the flyer.
Download the application at 🌐https://www.cert-peachtreecity.com/docs/cert_application_rules.pdf and bring it to the Peachtree City Police Department front desk (weekdays, 8 am to 5 pm) or mail it in by Friday, September 4, 2026.

A special thanks to airport operations, tenants, and repair facilities at Falcon Field who gave the Peachtree City Police Officers access to their hangars and an overview of their aircraft and ongoing maintenance. The month of May was a busy month for police airport training, and we thank all of you for your time and hospitality. The Officers sincerely appreciated it. They now have a better understanding of the requirements and activities at the airport and hangar areas.

πŸš“πŸ’™ This week, we proudly recognize and thank the dedicated men and women of the Peachtree City Police Department during National Police Week. From patrolling our neighborhoods and pathways to responding during emergencies, the department's commitment to service helps keep Peachtree City a safe, connected, and welcoming community.

Beyond their daily duties, our officers continue to make a positive impact through community education and outreach programs that strengthen relationships, build trust, and engage residents of all ages.

We also honor and remember the officers across our state, region, and country who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving their communities. Their courage and service will never be forgotten. πŸš”

Thank you to all law enforcement professionals for your service, professionalism, and continued dedication to keeping our communities safe. πŸ‘πŸ’™

Our Auxiliary officers Paul Aultman and Harry Schaefer, along with PTC Detectives Sgt. Brian Eden and Michelle Taylor continue educating our senior community with recent presentations to the clients of our local PTC Edward Jones office and to Dogwood Church. As the number of senior scams continue to rise, we need to continue to communicate and spread the word of the types of scams occurring every day in our community. For more information or to request a presentation for your group, please contact Sgt. Courtney Lumpkin at [email protected].
