⚡🌧 Weather may have called an audible on the LSU vs. Clemson game, but Family Football Saturday at Drake Field still delivered. 🏈

Fans hung out and watched Auburn vs. Baylor, and that last stretch was a nail-biter! Great food and good vibes all around. Shout out to Peachtree City Recreation and Special Events for another awesome event, and to Davis Chiropractic for sponsoring the fun. ❤️

📢 One last reminder before tomorrow. 📢

City offices, Peachtree City Library, Kedron Fieldhouse, and the Tennis Center are closed Monday, September 7, for Labor Day. Fire-Rescue and Police administrative offices are also closed, but emergency services are available 24/7.

Heading outside? The Splash Pad opens at 9 am and runs until 7 pm. Kedron and Glenloch Pools are open from 1 pm to 6 pm.

Regular hours return Tuesday, September 8. Enjoy the day, Peachtree City!

Kedron Elementary is hosting Knights Run the Night, a 5K and 1 Mile fun run on Friday, September 11, at 200 Kedron Drive.

🏃 1 Mile at 6:15 p.m.
🏃 5K at 6:45 p.m.
💵 $25 registration

It's a fun, family-friendly event for all fitness levels.

Peachtree City Recreation and Special Events invited tennis fans to gather at the PTC Tennis Center for a US Open watch party, cheering on Serena and Venus Williams as they took on Hao-Ching Chan and Maya Joint in an intense doubles match, as well as other team lineups. With delicious beverages from The Curious Pig and plenty of love for the game, it was a great evening of tennis and community vibes. ❤️

One week from today, we'll gather at Drake Field to remember.

Peachtree City Fire Rescue and Peachtree City Police Department invite you to the 9/11 Remembrance Walk on Friday, September 11, at 8:30 AM. This year marks 25 years since the attacks, and the walk honors the lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the families who still carry that morning with them.

You don't need to register or bring anything but yourself. Walk with your neighbors, walk with your kids, or walk quietly on your own. However you come, you'll be surrounded by people who came for the same reason. We hope to see you there.

Registration for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) closes TODAY (September 4). CERT training is free, hands-on, and teaches you how to help your neighbors when it matters most. You'll go home with a helmet and a backpack full of supplies.

Thursdays, September 10 through November 5, 6:30 to 9 PM at Fire Station 81 (110 Paschall Rd). Only 16 seats.

Start Labor Day on your feet. 🏃‍♀️🐕🍃

The Avenue Peachtree City ( 239 City Circle) and Fleet Feet are hosting a Labor Day 5K on Monday, September 7, at 8 AM. Run it, walk it, push a stroller, or bring your leashed pup along. Everyone is welcome, and no one is timing your finish line photo.

You can even test out a pair of ASICS shoes for the run, then hang around afterward for refreshments, music, and giveaways.

Registration is $30 through Sunday, September 6, and the price goes up after that, so grab your spot this week:

Say hello to the Peaches, Floyd, and Manny, the city's brand-new mascots! These four friends are ready to bring a little extra fun (and a lot of high fives) to the events you already love.

Keep an eye out for them at Family Football Saturdays, Fall Festivals, Community Outreach Programs, and plenty more around town. If you spot them, wave, snap a photo, and say hi. They've been practicing their best poses just for you.
