BLACKHAWK FLIGHT OPERATIONS
Crews from the HIARNG 1-183rd Aviation Regiment in Hilo, Hawai'i, fly UH-60 Blackhawks on June 3, 2025 to Pōhakuloa Training Area at the start of annual training. Soldiers conducted pre-flight operations, flight rehearsals and safety procedures at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Hilo resulting in a successful touchdown and training for support readiness.

The 1-183rd Aviation Regiment from Hilo, Hawai'i, conducts weapons qualification on June 2, 2025, at Pōhakuloa Training Area. Soldiers received a safety brief, calibrated rifles and checked targets to maintain their readiness as a HIARNG warfighter.

Congratulations to the winners of The Hawaii Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition! Wishing both the winning Soldier and NCO best of luck at the Reginal level competition.

SPC Nguyen who won Soldier of the Year Representing Bravo Troop 1-299 CAV.

SGT Peterson who won the NCO of the Year representing the 227 BEB Charlie Company.

1LT Linnell who won the exhibition category for Officer of the Year, representing HHT 1-299 CAV.

Hawaii Army National Guard Soldiers conduct their weapons qualifications. This is to maintain proficiency with their assigned weapons, ensuring readiness and lethality in a realistic environment, to include firing positions, reloading, and engaging targets under various conditions.

Marksmanship is a cornerstone of warfighting.
