🎡🚔 It’s almost time for the Mississippi State Fair!

Thank you to Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson for including Mississippi Department of Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell in today’s press conference as preparations get underway for another great Mississippi State Fair.

Throughout the fair, law enforcement personnel from multiple DPS divisions will be on the grounds working alongside our partners to help keep fairgoers safe. We’re proud to be part of this Mississippi tradition and look forward to seeing everyone at the fair!

🧪🔬 Celebrating National Forensic Science Week with the next generation of forensic scientists!

The Mississippi State Crime Laboratory welcomed students from across the state for Career Day, giving them an inside look at the science, technology and expertise behind forensic investigations.

From the laboratory to the courtroom, forensic science plays a critical role in the pursuit of truth and justice. We loved giving these students the opportunity to learn from our team and explore the many career paths available in forensic science.

Who knows—we may have met some of Mississippi’s future forensic scientists! 🥼🔎

Today, on National Thank a Police Officer Day, we recognize the dedicated men and women who put on the uniform each day to serve and protect communities across Mississippi. 💙🚔

From responding in moments of crisis to building relationships in our schools and neighborhoods, their service extends far beyond the badge. We are grateful for the professionalism, courage and commitment of our officers at the Mississippi Department of Public Safety—and for law enforcement officers across our state who work every day to keep Mississippians safe.

To all who serve: thank you for answering the call.

What a weekend in Oxford! 🏈🚔

Thank you to our Mississippi Department of Public Safety personnel, Louisiana State Police, Oxford Police, University Police and all of our law enforcement and first responder partners who worked together to help keep fans, students and visitors safe during yesterday’s Ole Miss–LSU game.
