As we prepare to celebrate 50 years of Pearl Public School District, we’re getting ready to take a walk down memory lane!

Do you have old school photos, class pictures, team photos, event snapshots, yearbook memories, or other Pearl treasures tucked away in albums, scrapbooks, boxes, or on your phone?

Now is the perfect time to start looking!

Throughout our 50th anniversary celebration, we’ll be featuring throwback posts and sharing memories from across the decades. In the coming weeks, we’ll share details on how you can submit your photos and stories to be considered.

Whether you’re a student, graduate, retiree, employee, parent, or community member, we’d love for you to help us tell the story of Pearl’s first 50 years.

Dr. Jeremy Peagler will begin serving as the Assistant Director of Special Services during the 2026-2027 school year. With more than 20 years of experience serving students and families, Dr. Peagler brings a strong background in special education and school leadership. He joins Pearl from South Pike High School, where he served as principal.

We are excited to add Dr. Peagler’s experience and expertise to our Special Services team. Please join us in welcoming him to Pirate Country!

Summer meals are back!

Free breakfast and lunch will be available for all children 18 years and younger from June 1–30, 2026. Children must be present to receive their meal. Meals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Adult breakfast is $2.25 and adult lunch is $4.00.

Pearl High School was well represented at the 2026 HOBY Leadership Seminar. HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership) empowers young leaders to make a difference in their schools and communities.

Sydney Garner, a member of the Class of 2027, served on the HOBY Junior Staff, while Campbell McHenry and Sophie Scutch, members of the Class of 2028, represented Pearl as HOBY Leadership Ambassadors. Joining them was Class of 2020 alumni Cameron Mayers, who served as a HOBY Group Facilitator.

We are proud of the positive impact these Pirates are making and the example they continue to set through their leadership and service.

A special thank-you to the Pearl High School JROTC for presenting the colors during the ceremony and to Encore for their beautiful performance of the National Anthem.

We are grateful to University of Mississippi Medical Center and the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services for their continued partnership and support of this program. The program provides interns with hands-on experience in a real business setting, helping them build valuable workplace and life skills while preparing them for future employment opportunities.
