❤️ Thank You for Making the 21st Annual Red Hat Literacy Luncheon a Success!
On behalf of President & CEO Gloria Taylor Spruce, our Board of Directors, staff, and students, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for this year’s Red Hat Literacy Luncheon and helped make it an incredible success.
A special thank-you to our Mistress of Ceremonies, Elissa Rivas (ABC13 News), our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Vincent Solis, and our Inspirational Speaker, Roosevelt Weeks Jr. for sharing such powerful and uplifting messages.
We also want to express our appreciation to Casa Olé for the wonderful food and service, and to H-E-B for the beautiful and delicious cakes that brightened every table.
We are deeply grateful for our sponsors, volunteers, and celebrity waiters who made the day so memorable. Thank you to First Church for graciously opening your doors and hosting us in your beautiful facility.
And a special shoutout to Melodi Lambert for the stunning gift baskets and Leslie Hernandez of Houston Party Walls for the creative décor touches that made the event shine.
Because of your generosity and support, we continue to engage, educate, and empower adult learners across our community.
❤️ Keep the Red Hat Spirit Alive
The celebration doesn’t end when the luncheon does — it continues through every life changed by education.
When you give to the Adult Education Center (AEC), you’re helping adults gain literacy, earn credentials, and build the confidence to create better futures for themselves and their families.
Your gift fuels programs that:
Empower adults to earn their GED or high school diploma
Provide career training that leads to sustainable employment
Support English language learners and new citizens
Teach financial literacy to strengthen families and communities
Every dollar you give helps AEC engage, educate, and empower more learners across our region — because literacy truly is the path to career success.
