This exciting Pearland ISD opportunity brings one of the most important parts of PTA’s mission to life: empowering families to understand the issues affecting our children and uniting our voices to advocate for every student!

Last year, two of our current Carleston Elementary PTA Board members proudly served as Pearland ISD Advocacy Ambassadors: our Advocacy Chair and former VP1, Dr. Jack Johnson, and our VP of Communications and former Secretary/Room Parent Chair, Valerie Felix. Through this program, they gained valuable insight into public education and got to see firsthand what advocacy looks like in action! 🤩

💜 Cub families, now is the perfect time to get involved! You do not need to be a PTA leader or an education expert; just bring your passion for our students, a willingness to learn and listen, and the courage to use your voice!

When families are informed, our voices become stronger! Together, we can make a powerful difference for Carleston, Pearland ISD, and children across Texas.

El año pasado, dos miembros de la Junta de Carleston Elementary PTA tuvieron el orgullo de servir como Advocacy Ambassadors de Pearland ISD: nuestro coordinador de Advocacy y ex VP1, Dr. Jack Johnson, y nuestra VP de Comunicaciones, Valerie Felix. We’re getting a head start on planning our Carleston Carnival, and we’re looking for families who want to help make this one of the most exciting nights of the year for our Cubs! 🎉

There are so many ways to be part of the fun! Whether you enjoy organizing, creating, connecting with others, working with kids, supporting local businesses, or helping behind the scenes, there’s a place for you.

And you don’t have to be a committee leader to get involved! You can simply join the Carnival committee and help where you’re needed, when you’re able.

Come meet other Carleston families, share your talents and ideas, and help create the kind of special memories our Cubs will talk about long after Carnival is over. 💜🐾

What a beautiful evening with our Carleston community last night! Seeing our sidewalks filled with bright colors, encouraging messages, and so much love was incredibly inspiring. Our Cougar Cubs walked into school this morning surrounded by reminders that they are loved, supported, capable, and welcomed. 💜

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this event possible. We’re so grateful to Jessica Fernandez, Arts in Education Chair, Valerie Felix, VP2 of Communications, and Ariel Mendoza, Fundraising & Sponsorships Chair, for putting it all together and to our PTA board members who volunteered their time at the event: former PTA President Heather Anderson and her kiddo, who graciously volunteered as Carl, Aaliyah Russell, Yearbook Financials Chair, and Eva Santos, Spanish Liaison. 🤗

And thank you MOST importantly to every parent and student who came out to draw, dance, jam out to KidzBop, enjoy popcorn, and fellowship with us. You helped turn our walkways into a “welcome home” for our students. 🥹💜

This is what community looks like: showing up, spreading kindness, and reminding our kids that they have an entire community cheering them on. We loved connecting with you all and can’t wait for all that this school year has in store! 🐾✨

Today is the beginning of a brand-new adventure, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our Carleston students, teachers, staff, and families back to school! 📚✏️

The Carleston Elementary PTA is honored to walk alongside our school community all year long, cheering on our students, supporting our incredible staff, and creating opportunities for our families to connect, grow, and feel at home. 💜

Here’s to a year filled with learning, laughter, friendship, courage, kindness, and so many wonderful memories! We believe in our Cougar Cubs, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things this year holds. 🐾✨

💜 Behind the scenes, your PTA has been BUSY getting Carleston ready for our Cubs! 🐾

From helping get school supplies into classrooms to fueling up our teachers and staff with a much-needed snack break, our PTA volunteers have been showing up and lending a hand to help get everyone ready for the first day of school! 📚✏️🍎

Shoutout to our former PTA President Heather Anderson, VP2 of Communications Valerie Felix, and some of our amazing student PTA members for helping distribute school supplies to classrooms! 🥹💜 We love seeing our past, present, and future Cubs learning what it means to serve their school community from an early age!

Also a HUGE thank you to our Hospitality Chair María Mendoza, President Vanessa Garcia, VP1 Ana Garcia, and 4th Grade Celebration Chair Maricela Arreola for decorating the teachers lounge and setting up today’s snack table. It was a HUGE hit with our teachers and staff! 🥨🍎💜

This is what PTA is all about- supporting our teachers, staff, students, and families. We’re not just planning events; we’re showing up, lending a hand, fueling our teachers, and building a stronger Carleston community together.
