Buck Stevens Suspends Mayoral Campaign for Pearalnd.

PEARLAND, TEXAS — After much prayer, reflection, and discussion with my family and supporters, I have decided to suspend my campaign for Mayor of Pearland.

This campaign has been deeply personal to me. I entered this race because I care deeply about Pearland—its neighborhoods, its families, and its future and was determined to ensure quality leadership remains in place and that Pearland remains the “Community of Choice”.

Over the past months, I have had the privilege of listening to residents across our city, hearing their concerns, and learning from their perspectives. Those conversations have strengthened my respect for this community and reinforced my belief in public service rooted in integrity and accountability.

As the race moves forward, I believe Pearland has a strong leadership option in Tony Carbone. Tony is someone I respect for his commitment to this city and his willingness to serve. Pearland is fortunate to have candidates who are stepping forward to take on the responsibility of leadership.

While I am suspending my campaign currently, my commitment to Pearland has not changed. I will continue to remain engaged in our community, and I intend to seek elected office again in the future when the time is right. Serving Pearland and our surrounding community remains an important goal for me.

To my supporters, friends and community, I am sincerely grateful to everyone who supported this campaign—those who volunteered their time, shared encouragement, and welcomed honest conversations about our city’s future. I am proud of the campaign we ran and thankful for the opportunity to have been part of this process.
