Officers with the Pearsall PD had a great day these past two days visiting with students at Pearsall Junior High and Pearsall Intermediate School for career day.

We want to thank both schools for having us and also thank the students for participating and asking plenty of questions!

Many students received a PD cup after answering questions related to the presentation.

If there are any students who were unable to grab a cup yesterday or today and would like one, please bring them by the PD.. We'll even put some snacks in them!

Lastly, we would like to wish a special thank you to school staff and PISD Officer Gandara and K9 Toby.

Our Officers continued to stay busy over the weekend! 👮‍♂️

While conducting traffic enforcement, they located narcotics and a firearm. An arrest was made and the subject was booked into the jail.

At approximately 10:45 PM, Pearsall Police Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of FM 1581 and I-35. During the course of the investigation, several ounces of suspected methamphetamine were located in the vehicle, along with other contraband.

Multiple individuals were arrested during the course of the incident.

What may start as a routine traffic stop can quickly turn into a more substantial investigation. Our Officers utilize traffic enforcement as a method of interdiction in an effort to make our city safer. Pearsall PD works night and day to keep dangerous drugs off our streets.

A structure fire occurred in the 1900 block of East Leona. PPD officers responded and confirmed all occupants were out of the residence and awaited PVFD.

The fire was later extinguished and everyone went home safely, thanks to our first responders.

EDIT: The juvenile’s family was found and he’s been returned.

This juvenile was found walking on W Comal St near the intersection with Vinton St. If anyone recognizes him or has any relevant information, please call the Frio County Sheriff’s Office to notify dispatch. (830) 505-7153

At around 11:38 PM, our officers and FCSO deputies responded to the Westview Apartments for reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, a male subject barricaded himself inside an apartment. After a short standoff, the suspect surrendered to officers.

Our officers and deputies are still on scene processing the incident.

We want to specifically thank deputies Perez, Stacks, Torres, and Wolfe for their assistance in this incident.

What an honor to be recognized.

We're very happy we were able to send one of our Officers to Kerrville to represent Pearsall and its citizens. It was very important to show their community that we stand with them as they continue on their return to normalcy.
