The Village of Pecos Mayor, Board of Trustees and Staff would like to thank Apple Mountain Constuctors for the Water Line Project and clean up/seedlings on NM Highway 50 and surrounding areas. NM Department of Transportation for the cleanup of the sidewalks on NM Highway 63. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Upper Pecos Watershed Association, Magda, Janice Varela and all who contributed to the Pecos Clean up day on Saturday and helping to make our town look beautiful and clean again!

FYI... This below posting is a requirement from the NMED (New Mexico Environment Department). There is NOT Lead and Copper in the water system. This was a violation for not meeting the deadline to complete our Inventory of what type of material is utilized on each of the service lines to you, our customers. AGAIN, there is NOT Lead and Copper in the water lines.

We will be working diligently to come into compliance with NMED, which will include going to each residence and/or business to check the meter to verify what kind of material is used within the meter casing. Please be aware that our crews will be out doing this over the next months.

We just wanted to clarify the situation with the violation, as we are simply trying to comply with NMED and get back into compliance.
