Weather Advisory from US National Weather Service Midland Texas: A Heat Advisory is in effect for the higher terrain in west Texas, and the Eddy County Plains. Be sure to stay hydrated and wear lightweight, light-colored clothing. Another day of heat is on tap today, but some changes are on the way! A cold front sweeps in Saturday, bringing cooler temperatures and increased rain chances!

Hazardous heat with isolated storms later today, then slightly cooler temperatures with increased rain chances tomorrow.

Weather Advisory from US National Weather Service Midland Texas: A Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 PM MDT /9 PM CDT/ this evening for the Eddy and Reeves County Plains, eastern Culberson County, Loving and Ward Counties, Chisos Basin, and the Davis, Guadalupe, Chinati, and Delaware Mountains. Although other locations are left out of the Advisory, please note that it will still be hot elsewhere. Be sure to stay hydrated and wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.

Weather Advisory from US National Weather Service Midland Texas: Multiple days of 100+ degree heat means a greater chance of heat stress and heat illness this week. Be aware of the signs of heat stress, limit time spent outdoors (especially during the hottest part of the day), and stay hydrated!

Highs today and Tuesday will average ~ 8-10 F above climatology. Rain chances are slim-to-none.

Water will be distributed at the Balmorhea Community Center located at 101 I-10 Balmorhea, Texas 79718. Hours shall be from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2026. Residents of Balmorhea shall receive one or two cases of bottled of water per family household.

The excitement surrounding the new Lindsay Community Park is greatly appreciated, and we are looking forward to sharing it with our community. At this time, we kindly ask the public to stay off the park grounds while construction crews complete the remaining work. The site is still an active construction area, and limiting access helps ensure everyone's safety and allows the project to stay on schedule.

We are currently planning a grand opening for mid- to late August. Once construction crews give us the approval that the park is ready, we will officially announce the date and event details. We appreciate everyone's patience and support as we put the finishing touches on this exciting addition to Lindsay. By waiting until the official opening, you'll help ensure that children and families of all ages can safely enjoy the experience of a brand-new park together.
