This clinic is $50 or pay‑what‑you‑can. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of while it’s available!

Please remember to make a separate appointment for each animal you plan to bring.

This time, we’re heading to the Reeves County Senior Center (505 S. Park) on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM, where we’re joining in on some bingo fun!

Come spend the afternoon with us and enjoy popcorn, cokes, and bingo alongside our local officers and community members. We’d love to see you there!

Brisket Bandit- Where's the beef?

On Monday, August 10, 2026, Pecos Police Department responded to a call at La Tienda, located in the 800 blk of S. Eddy St., regarding a reported theft.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., a female suspect entered the store, loaded three briskets, and walked out without paying. Store personnel contacted police, and officers were dispatched to the location at 4:35 p.m.

The suspect was seen leaving in a dark-colored pickup truck of an unknown make.

The Pecos Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the female involved in this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Pecos Police Department at (432) 445-4911.

We take all theft seriously. Retail theft is a growing problem that impacts businesses, employees, and the community. When merchandise is stolen, it drives up costs for retailers, which can ultimately lead to higher prices for consumers. By addressing theft promptly and responsibly, we help protect our community.

In case you missed Chief Tarango on this past week's Coffee Klatch, here are some great Back-To-School safety tips.

• Pay attention in school zones and follow the posted speed limits.

• On Texas Street near Crockett Middle School, remember that children cross throughout the day. Please follow those school zone speed limit signs.

• Be aware of crosswalks and always allow pedestrians to cross safely.

• Watch for school buses. When a bus is loading or unloading with its stop sign extended and lights flashing, it is illegal to pass it.

• Keep cell phones put away in school zones. No texting and driving. Staying alert keeps everyone safe.

• Make sure all passengers are buckled up, and younger passengers are secured in the correct car seat or booster seat.

• And finally, let’s all be courteous during drop‑off and pick‑up. Take turns, stay patient, and plan ahead if you need extra time.
