We’ve officially reached the halfway point of our Citizens Police Academy (CPA)!

Over the past several sessions, participants have had the opportunity to learn more about our department and the many responsibilities our officers handle every day. So far, they have toured our facilities, received instruction in first aid, learned about our SWAT team and polygraph operations, and participated in discussions on mental health, de-escalation, and self-defense. They’ve also explored driving techniques and DWI enforcement.

We still have 5 exciting sessions ahead! Upcoming topics include traffic stops, criminal investigations, fi****ms training, and participants will even have the opportunity to become licensed to carry.

Thank you to everyone participating in this year’s CPA. We appreciate your commitment to learning more about law enforcement and strengthening the partnership between the Pecos Police Department and the community. We’re looking forward to the rest of the program!

During Law Enforcement Appreciation Week, we were reminded just how strong and supportive our community truly is. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed support, kindness, and appreciation to our officers throughout the week. Your encouragement means more than words can express.

A special thank you to Mrs. Donna Davis for the amazing snacks and treats she brought for our officers all week long. Your thoughtfulness kept everyone smiling and fueled during long days.

We would also like to thank Arti’s Italian Restaurant for the wonderful dinner provided during practice for our memorial, sponsored by Woodmen Life. Your generosity and support were greatly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Police Officer Memorial. Taking the time to stand with us as we honored and remembered our fallen officers meant so much to our department and our community.

We are especially grateful to Target Logistics for catering our luncheon following the memorial. The food and service from Old Mill Restaurant were absolutely delicious, and everyone truly enjoyed it.

To all who contributed, attended, donated, supported, or simply took a moment to say thank you — we sincerely appreciate you. Your support for Pecos Police Department and our officers does not go unnoticed.
