Our library is open every Tuesday and Thursday, 9-4 pm. Drop by so we can meet you!

This June offers me several opportunities to visit some of New Mexico’s rural libraries. (Details on my website.) These places are about far more than books. Not only do they encourage people to keep on reading, they also serve as community resource centers, gathering places, and safe havens. Public libraries and the free access they offer to information are crucial to our democracy. Spend some time in yours!

Pecos Fire Department as well as the surrounding fire districts have seen a significant increase in calls for illegal burning. Please be advised that San Miguel County and the Village of Pecos is still under an open burn ban.

Due to the increase in illegal burning, further incidents will be addressed with a court summons to the property owner.

Please refrain from any open burning to include: burn barrels, bon fires, ditch and agricultural burning, slash piles or any other type of open burning until the burn ban is lifted.

Victor Wembanyama has launched a new initiative to encourage folks to read more books. The "Read Like Wemby" campaign is a partnership with libraries in San Antonio, highlighting some of his favorite books 📚‼️

Since this has started, local libraries have seen an increase in books that have been checked out and put on hold 👏
