With so much admiration, we remember Tom Elliott for his service to our community and to our festival. Tom was thoughtful, engaging and truly a champion for Pekin. His kindness and sincerity were so evident in how he treated others.

Tom worked for the Pekin Park District over forty years and he served the Pekin Marigold Festival Committee for nearly thirty years as the Park Liaison. Tom knew every corner of the park and how it functioned, and he willingly shared so much knowledge with other festival committee members.

Tom was elected Grand Marshal of the 2019 Pekin Marigold Festival. As the Grand Marshal nomination noted: “Tom Elliott is the epitome of showing pride in Pekin and Pekin is a much better place because of him.”

Our prayers are with Tom's family and all who knew and loved him.
