Building Community Across Differences: A Conversation on Understanding and Connection.
June 4 6:00PM
Pelham Library, MA

All Pelham residents are invited for pizza and conversation.

Led by Jennifer Moyston, we will build on themes from her fall workshop, Interrupting Bias and Building Belonging in a Municipality. Community members will explore ways to thoughtfully respond to change, new perspectives, and people with different lived experiences while developing tools to foster understanding, respect, and connection within the community.

Jennifer’s background is in diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially around community engagement, workforce equity, and creating cultures of belonging. She has spent years working at the municipal level to help towns build more equitable policies and practices.

What a wonderful week of nature and ecology we’ve had in Pelham! Elijah Lagreze led an enthusiastic group in a shiitake mushroom log workshop, many citizens participated in Pelham Picks Up!, helping to remove carloads of trash from our roads and wild places, and an enthusiastic group spent 4 days seeing how many species we could find in Pelham’s first town wide Bioblitz, documenting over 250 species!
