✈️ ROUND TWO—AND JUST AS MUCH FUN! ✈️

We headed back to Alpha Charlie Grill for a delicious lunch before taking off on another adventure through the Southern Museum of Flight. 🛩️

From incredible aircraft and aviation history to fascinating stories along the way, there was plenty to see, learn, and talk about. And of course, this crew knows how to make any outing more fun! 😄

Sometimes an adventure is just too good for only one trip! ✈️💙

🎶 BINGO + MUSIC = SINGO! 🎶

We had another fun-filled round of Singo at the center today with Lance from ExpectCare Hospice! Instead of listening for numbers, we listened for songs—and tried to name those tunes before marking our sheets! 🎵

There was plenty of singing along, laughing, a little friendly competition, and of course lots of familiar songs that had everyone joining in. We always have a blast when Lance comes to visit, and today was no exception!

Thank you, Lance and ExpectCare, for bringing the music, the fun, and such great energy to our center! 🎤🎶❤️

A little color, a little creativity, and a whole lot of personality! 🎨✨

Our latest class with Make It 52 had us creating gorgeous mosaic vases on canvas. Piece by piece, the colorful mosaic design came together to create a vase filled with texture, dimension, and plenty of charm. 💐

It’s always fun to watch a project take shape from start to finish, and these turned out beautifully! Another creative afternoon with Tammy & Robbie and another piece of art to proudly take home and display!

This month’s Gardening Class looked a little different—and we loved it! 🇺🇸🌿

Instead of digging in the dirt, we got creative with Jessica Evans from the Shelby County, Alabama Extension Office and made patriotic decorations for our garden in celebration of America’s 250th birthday! 🎉❤️🤍💙

It was the perfect way to combine gardening, creativity, and a little American spirit. We can’t wait to see these special touches displayed in our garden as we join communities across the country in celebrating 250 years of America! 🇺🇸🌻

✂️💌 Five cards, one class, and a head start on Christmas! 🎄

Our Cardmaking Class with Karen is always full of creativity! Each month, participants create five beautiful handmade cards, perfect for sharing with family and friends for all kinds of occasions.

And now there’s a little Christmas cheer mixed in! 🎅 Each class will include one Christmas card as part of the five, so by December, everyone will have a collection of handmade cards ready to send. What a fun way to get ahead on the holidays—one card at a time! ❤️💚

Sweet surprise from the garden! 🥒🧁

Our baking class whipped up homemade lemon zucchini muffins, and who knew zucchini could taste this good?! These muffins were moist, delicious, and surprisingly sweet—the perfect reminder that sometimes the most unexpected ingredients make the best treats!

Another fun (and tasty!) day in the kitchen! Thank you Teresa from Siggi's Table💚

🧠 Trivia at the Center was a nail-biter! 🎉

Our teams brought their A-game, and we ended with two teams tied for first place! It all came down to the tiebreaker, where The Round Table pulled out the win and claimed the top spot! 🏆👏

Great job to ALL of our teams—you kept us guessing, laughing, and having fun right to the very end. We can’t wait for the next round of Trivia at the Center! 🤩

✈️ Today’s outing was cleared for takeoff!

We started our adventure with lunch at Alpha Charlie Grill, the perfect aviation-themed stop before heading to the Southern Museum of Flight. After lunch, it was time to step into the fascinating world of aviation history!

Our tour guide, Charlie, was absolutely fantastic! His knowledge was incredible, and he had a way of sharing the history and stories behind the aircraft that kept us interested from beginning to end. We learned about aviation through the years, saw an amazing collection of aircraft and exhibits, and heard stories that gave us a whole new appreciation for the people and machines that helped shape flight history.

There was so much to look at, so much to learn, and plenty of “I never knew that!” moments along the way. Charlie truly made the museum come alive for our group.

Great food, fascinating history, an outstanding tour guide, and a fun day spent exploring together—this outing definitely earned its wings! ✈️🛩️
