Little bit of TOWN OF PELION NEWS

First we want to let everyone know that uses the park that we are getting the so called mulch that was dumped there removed. Its horrible and in no way do we want the kids playing on it. It was supposed to be already removed by the person that dumped it. so we are working on that now

Second we have put in for grant money that will pave the last few sections of roads in pelion that are not paved. Along with that we have ask for grant money to expand and improve the park,,alot of people use that park so we want it as nice as we can have it. depending on IF we get money and HOW MUCH will depend on what we are able to do. on the table now would be more playground equipment, more covered tables, and maybe even rubber mulch under the equipment.

In reference to the Pelion Police Department's previous request for information, the suspect was identified as Philip Travis Furtick Jr. Warrants were issued and Mr Furtick turned himself into law enforcement earlier today. We thank the public for their help in this investigation.
