PCHS is better when our students are here.

Our schoolwide attendance for August was 96.08%, and that is something to be proud of. Every day a student walks through our doors is another opportunity to learn, grow, connect with a teacher, build relationships with classmates, and be part of everything that makes Pell City High School special.

Attendance is about more than a number. Our students are the reason we’re here, and our building is simply better when they’re in it.

Thank you to our students for showing up, to our families for making attendance a priority, and to our teachers and staff for creating a school where students know they are wanted and valued.

Introducing PCHS Principals Advisory Committee

The Panther Solutions Team will serve as the Principal’s Student Advisory Committee and bring together 24 students, six from each grade level, to represent the diverse perspectives of our student body.

Team members will meet directly with Mr. Deason to identify needs, gather student feedback, study real challenges, and develop practical solutions that strengthen academics, school culture, student support, safety, activities, and community engagement.

We are not simply looking for students who already hold leadership positions. We want students from different backgrounds, experiences, interests, and perspectives; including students who may not normally see themselves as leaders. The goal is to build a team that truly represents PCHS.

This will be more than a committee that talks about problems. Our students will help create solutions, lead projects, and make a measurable difference in their school.

🌟 Student Spotlight: Parker Epperson, Senior 🌟

This week, we are proud to recognize senior Parker Epperson for his commitment to serving Pell City High School.

For his Eagle Scout project, Parker secured and equipped 15 classrooms with door-restraining straps to provide an additional safety measure in the event of a lockdown.

Parker is passionate about his school and wanted his Eagle Scout project to be a meaningful way to give back to the teachers and classmates who have been part of his journey.

Parker, thank you for your leadership, your service, and your desire to make PCHS a better and safer place. You have shown what it means to take pride in your school and what it truly means to be a Panther.

🅿️ PARKING IS INCLUDED IN YOUR GAME TICKET

🚗 GENERAL SPECTATOR PARKING�Fans should park in General Parking Lots 1, 2, or 3 and enter through the designated MAIN ENTRANCE shown on the map.

🚌 VISITING TEAM�Visiting team buses and vehicles should report directly to the designated Visiting Team Operations area.

🥁 BAND OF GOLD�Band parking has a designated area near the band room and Duran Junior High school. Please follow signage and directions from event personnel.

🏈 AHSAA OFFICIALS�Officials have a separate reserved parking area near Pete Rich Stadium.

⭐ BOOSTER CLUB / VIP PARKING�Booster Club and VIP guests should use the designated reserved parking area shown on the map. you must have the appropriate parking tag to be able to access this lot.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The route marked NO ACCESS is closed to gameday traffic. Please do not enter this area. Buses should never stop on public roadways or block emergency-access lanes.

Pell City PD and event personnel are the final authority for all parking and traffic flow.

Please save this map, share it with your group, and plan your arrival before heading to Pete Rich Stadium.

🔥 Hands-on learning in action!

Our Agricultural Industrial Maintenance students got to work this week learning how to safely operate and cut metal with an oxy-acetylene torch! Students are developing practical skills while gaining valuable experience with tools and equipment used throughout the agricultural and industrial workforce.

There’s no better way to learn than by doing! 🛠️🔥

You may have seen it, or maybe you haven’t, but I want to take a moment to recognize two outstanding members of our senior class, Reese Tarver and Chloe Wilson.

Over a 48 hour period, Chloe and Reese took the initiative to rally our student body and help create a video featuring a plethora of PCHS students. That video was ultimately presented to the AHSAA Central Board of Control as part of our appeal.

What stood out to me was that this was about so much more than football. Their efforts showed their love for our school, their classmates, and this entire community. They wanted the student voice to be heard, and they made sure it was.

As principal, I can’t express how proud I am of our student body, and especially of Chloe and Reese for stepping up and taking the lead. Their passion, initiative, and willingness to stand up for something bigger than themselves says a lot about who they are.

Chloe and Reese showed just how important Pell City High School and this community are to them. I believe all of us can rally around that example and learn a little something from our students.

There will always be challenges, but there is also always something good worth recognizing.

Always find the positive.

Proud of you, Reese and Chloe. And proud to be a Panther.
