🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Wattsville Fire Department! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence and honor the freedoms we enjoy thanks to the sacrifices of those who came before us.

As you celebrate with family and friends, please remember to use fireworks safety:
• Keep a safe distance from fireworks.
• Never allow young children to handle fireworks.
• Have a bucket of water or a hose nearby.
• Never relight a firework that doesn’t ignite properly.

Monthly Recap:

In the month of April we received a total of 68 calls for service. The department trained on ropes and knots, structural search, gear drills, hose deployment and advancement. Four of our members also attended a 50 hour HAZMAT Technician course on weekends at the Alabama Fire College.
