πŸš’ Quint 76 is Officially In Service! πŸš’
Today, the South Greenville Fire District proudly placed Quint 76 into service to help protect the W Georgia Rd/Brashier community and surrounding areas. We were honored to celebrate this addition with a traditional push-in ceremony, a long-standing fire service tradition.
Back in the days of horse-drawn fire apparatus, firefighters had to physically push the engine back into the station after returning from a call because the horses could not easily back the apparatus into the bay. Over time, this became a cherished fire service tradition used when placing a new apparatus into service, symbolizing the community and firefighters working together to put the new engine into its home and into service for the people it protects.
Today, members of our department, commissioners, and community helped push Quint 76 into the station, officially marking the beginning of its service.
Quint 76 represents our continued commitment to providing the highest level of fire protection, emergency response, and service to our community.
We are grateful for the support of our community and proud to place this new Quint in service to serve you.

As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, please remember that safety comes first. πŸŽ†

Keep fireworks away from children, have a water source nearby, never relight malfunctioning fireworks, and leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible. A few simple precautions can help ensure everyone enjoys a fun and safe holiday.

Take a moment to review the safety tips in the graphic below, and help us keep our community safe this Fourth of July.

From all of us at South Greenville Fire District, have a happy, safe, and memorable Independence Day! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸš’
