Tonight, we had the privilege of celebrating 25 years of dedicated service by Daniel Phillips to the South Greenville community.
The evening was filled with great food, great fellowship, and plenty of laughter. As you might expect, a good portion of those laughs came at Daniel’s expense—because what retirement celebration would be complete without a little good-natured roasting?
Daniel, thank you for your years of commitment, hard work, and service to our citizens. We wish you nothing but the best as you begin this next chapter of life.
For those wondering where to find him now, your chances are pretty good if you check Craytonville, the M&M, or simply pick up the phone and give him a call. After all, Daniel has officially reached the age where people start checking on him regularly!
Congratulations, Daniel, and thank you for 25 years of service to South Greenville Fire District. Enjoy retirement—you’ve earned it!
P.S. Daniel, this post was written while enjoying a brand-new Turtlebox speaker. It sounds amazing. Retirement is the perfect time for you to get one too!

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we enjoy every day.
At South Greenville Fire District, we are grateful for the service members and military families in our community and across our nation. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
As you gather with family and friends today, please take a moment to remember our fallen heroes and the legacy they left behind.
From all of us at South Greenville Fire District, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

For all of you Ella Fellas out there here’s a fun fact from the American Heart Association

What can you do if he’s “Choosin’ Texas?” Probably not much. But in a cardiac emergency, there IS somethin’ you can do. Know the two simple steps of Hands-Only CPR.

If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of this country smash from Ella Langley.

Several members of South Greenville Fire District attended the Greenville County Cardiac Arrest Survivors Ceremony, where they were recognized for their role in helping save the lives of citizens in our community who survived sudden cardiac arrest events.
This event was a powerful reminder of why rapid response, CPR, and access to AEDs are so critical in the chain of survival. We were honored to hear from survivors from across Greenville County, including former University of South Carolina Gamecock Quarterback Connor Shaw, who shared his story and emphasized the importance of knowing CPR and having AEDs readily available in public places like parks.
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere — and every second matters. We are incredibly proud of our members for the role they play in protecting our community and giving patients the best chance at survival.
Thank you to everyone involved in strengthening the chain of survival in Greenville County. ❤️🚑

Quint 76 had a blast cooling things down at Field Day today at Robert E. Cashion Elementary! ☀️🚒💦
Our crew was excited to stop by and help the students celebrate the end of the school year the best way we know how—with lots of water and plenty of smiles! There’s nothing better than seeing kids laugh, run, and enjoy a little spray from the fire hose on a warm day.
Thank you to Robert E. Cashion Elementary for inviting us to be part of such a fun day. We hope everyone had an amazing Field Day and a safe start to summer! ☀️
