Wood County Alert (powered by Everbridge) will be used to send local notifications about severe weather, emergencies, road closures, public safety alerts, and other important updates. Users can choose how they prefer to be contacted, including by text message, phone call, email, or a mobile app.

The new system replaces Wood County’s previous emergency notification platform, CodeRED. It is important to note that prior registrations for CodeRed will not transfer, and all users will need to create a new account to receive alerts.

[March 31 @ 3 PM] A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania until 9 PM EDT.

⚠️Due to the possibility of severe weather being located around Wood County near the time of the scheduled siren test, County officials are opting to forego the test to avoid confusion with an actual event.

✅Wood County will plan on participating in the statewide siren test this month in coordination with severe weather awareness week. This test will take place Wednesday March 18, 2026 at 9:50am.
