Freedom Unit 183 American Legion Auxiliary We are dedicated to the veterans and proud of our accomplishments. We are located in the Great First District in Pemberville, Ohio with 220 members.

Secretary Robin Lohman’s office hours are Monday 4:30-6:30pm. That would be the best time to call the hall and get to speak to her personally. Otherwise, she checks phone messages periodically during the week. This is for hall rentals. This page does not respond to hall rentals.

Happening on Monday May 25, 2026, Memorial Day!

Two F-16 Fighter Jets from 180th Fighter Wing, Ohio Air National Guard in support of the Hometown Heroes Memorial Walk and Memorial Day Service of American Legion Post 183 in Pemberville will be doing a flyover at 10:38 am. 🇺🇸 Additionally, the American Legion is having a Memorial Day service beginning at 10:00 am and they’d love everyone who’s able to join, join!

The Pemberville community will commemorate our members of the military who gave their lives for our freedoms on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th. The Posting of the Flags at the Pemberville American Legion Memorial in front of the Legion Hall will take place at 10:00am followed by the reading of the Hometown Heros. This project is a part the 150th Anniversary of Pemberville and the 250th Anniversary of the United States celebrations. The Eastwood HS Band will provide a variety of patriotic music.

Following the service, the Salute to the Dead will be rendered by the American Legion honor guard and an Eastwood student bugler at all the cemeteries in Freedom Township. This public Memorial Day service is made possible by the Pemberville Freedom American Legion, Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and the Pemberville 150th Anniversary Committee.

Don’t forget we will have a very special Memorial Day program planned this year which includes our Hometown Hero Walk. All are welcome on Monday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. at the Legion Hall.

Following the service the SAL will host their annual chicken BBQ.
