This was the first day of school at Open Valley Pines West.

While some parents were still processing the goodbye, their kids were already posing for the camera, running toward a friend they hadn’t seen all summer, and sizing up the new faces in the room with that particular confidence only a preschooler has.

That’s what happens when a room is warm enough, familiar enough, and safe enough that even the first day feels okay.
