Road Work Alert – Pembroke Street (Concord)

Continental Paving will begin milling operations on Pembroke Street tomorrow (Tuesday) between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM

Location: From Dearborn up to Airport Road in Concord

Drivers should expect delays, plan alternate routes if possible, and use caution in the work zone. Please allow extra time for your commute.

Big changes are here! After lots of work behind the scenes, our brand-new website is now up and running with a fresh look, improved navigation, and more useful features for our residents.

Is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of our retired Fire Chief, Paul Gagnon.

Chief Gagnon dedicated more than 50 years of service to the Pembroke Fire Department. He joined in 1974, rose through the ranks, and was promoted to Chief on January 1, 2021. He retired in April 2025, leaving an enduring legacy of leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to our community’s safety.

Chief Gagnon led with a strong faith and family-based approach, always putting people first, while demanding accountability and loyalty from those he served alongside. His calm, principled leadership and genuine care for his firefighters and our community has established a strong culture in our fire department that continues.

The Selectboard extends our heartfelt condolences to Pam and the entire Gagnon family, the Pembroke Fire Department, and all who knew and served with Chief Gagnon. We are deeply grateful for his lifetime of service and will remember him always.

On this NH Law Enforcement Memorial Day, we remember the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives protecting others. Their legacy lives on through the officers who continue to serve with honor every day.

Pembroke Hazard Mitigation Plan Update – Volunteer Opportunity

The Town of Pembroke will soon begin updating the 2022 Pembroke Hazard Mitigation Plan. FEMA requires communities to update these plans every five years to remain eligible for certain federal disaster assistance and project funding programs.

A Hazard Mitigation Committee will be formed to help guide the update. The Committee will:
Assess natural hazards that could impact Pembroke
Review recent and potential severe weather and hazard events
Identify critical facilities, vulnerable areas, and at-risk populations
Develop long-term strategies to reduce risk to residents, buildings, and property

Interested in serving?
The Committee is expected to meet 3 to 4 times through the remainder of 2026.

There is a water main break on Glass St. between Kimball St. & Turnpike St. Glass St. is currently closed in that area so we are asking that you please avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Crews are on scene assessing the damage. Thank you for your cooperation!
