Please be advised that at close of business today, May 13th, 2026, Round Pond Bridge will be closed to thru traffic. Traffic will be placed onto the detour next to the bridge. Timed traffic lights will be in place on opposite ends of the detour on Charlotte Road for alternating one-way traffic.

The Select Board updated annual appointees at the last meeting, as usual following the Annual Town Meeting. We have now updated the website with new elected officials and appointees, including Road Commissioner, Animal Control, Code enforcement and Plumbing Inspectors. As a reminder, you can access contact information for these and other key town officials on the website (link in comments).

Please be aware that work for the Round Pond Bridge temporary detour will begin on Monday, Oct. 27th.On Monday, Northeast Construction will be setting up signs and traffic control. Tuesday, Oct. 28th, flaggers will be on Charlotte Road for traffic control. While the bridge replacement will take place next year (Spring), we will be installing the footprint of the detour this year (starting on 10/28). Once the footprint is cleared, EMEC will be on location for utilities work.
