From the bottom of our hearts, the Pembroke Police Department would like to thank all of the donators, potential donators, and all of those that attempted to walk in to donate but were turned away due to no appointments. Our Chiefs Iverson, Cheney and Lane Memorial Blood Drive that was held last Wednesday August 12th was a huge success which is incredibly important to the Red Cross during a reported blood shortage. We would also like to extend a HUGE thank you to Christ Church and Pastor Ian Hard for providing us with the use of their Church for Blood Drive. The space was absolutely perfect!

For the past 32 years Pembroke Police Department has been committed to saving lives, and we could not do this without the support of our community, family and friends.

The Pembroke/Allenstown Old Home Day is this Saturday, 08/22/2026! Sergeant St. Jacques and K9 Frankie will once again be doing two K9 demonstrations that day! The first demo will be at 12:30pm, and the second at 2pm. Sergeant St. Jacques and K9 Frankie can’t wait to showcase their skills to everyone that attends!

The Pembroke Police Department will also be selling K9 merchandise at Old Home Day as a fundraiser for the K9 program! All funds raised will go directly into the K9 fund for various pieces of K9 equipment and anything that K9 Frankie would need. The following will be available for purchase at Old Home Day:

-Tee-Shirts ($20)
-Sweatshirts ($35)
-Challenge Coins ($10)
-Stuffed Animal K9 Frankie ($20)
-K9 Supporter Drawstring Bag ($5)
-Stickers (1 for $3, 2 for $5)

To our community. We hear your concerns. We understand the frustration with the reckless, unlawful usage of e-bikes, scooters, and electric OHRVs. Our department wanted to create an informational flyer to help our residents and visitors understand what's considered legal/illegal regarding e-bike/electric OHRV use.

Police departments across the country are seeing an increase in accidents, violations, and general concerns related to the reckless use of e-bikes and scooters. Parents are encouraged to provide their children with proper safety equipment while riding and teach them the rules of the road if they are going to be riding on public streets.

While not considered an e-bike, Pembroke Town Ordinance 150-2 prevents the reckless operation of standard bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and roller skates on any public street within the town limits.

We hope everyone will share this to help reach our target audience, which is primarily the parents of children who are using these popular modes of transportation. Our intention is to provide education and guidance to ensure safe and legal operation of these items, but repeated violations will be subject to fines and seizure/towing of the items per our local town ordinances and New Hampshire state law.

The Red Cross is reporting a blood shortage and your donation can make a big difference especially during this time of year.
