🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL SAFETY REMINDER 🚌
School Starts Monday!
Hello, kids and parents! 👋
This weekend is the last weekend of summer, and school starts back Monday! As everyone gets ready for a new school year, we want to remind our community of a few important safety tips.
🚗 PLAN AHEAD & LEAVE EARLY
Traffic will be heavier than normal, especially in and around school zones. If you normally run a little late, plan to leave extra early Monday morning so you aren’t rushing.
🚸 SLOW DOWN IN SCHOOL ZONES
Watch your speed, obey school-zone signs, and always be prepared to stop for children crossing the road.
🚌 WATCH FOR SCHOOL BUSES
Be alert for buses making frequent stops and children getting on and off. Never pass a stopped school bus when its red lights are flashing and stop arm is extended.
👀 STAY ALERT
Put the phone down, keep your eyes on the road, and watch carefully for children, parents, buses, and other vehicles.
❤️ BE PATIENT & TAKE YOUR TIME
Monday morning is going to be busy. Give yourself extra time, be patient with others, and remember that getting there safely is more important than getting there quickly.
