Patricia “Trish” Starnes Chilton, aged 66, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, in Antioch, Tennessee. Born on June 21, 1959, in Alturus, California, Trish lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication to those around her. Trish was the daughter of her late parents, Samuel and Bertha Starnes, from Oklahoma and the beloved sister of Frank Starnes, who resides in Connecticut. She was predeceased by her younger brother, Earl. Her family extends across the United States, including her dear Aunt Ruby in Oklahoma and numerous other relatives who held her close to their hearts.
Throughout her life, Trish demonstrated an incredible work ethic and versatility. She spent many years working at grocery stores as a cashier and in customer service roles. Additionally, she played an important role as office manager for two of her husband David's businesses. Her professional life was marked by diligence and genuine care for people that left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
At home, Trish found joy in her unique passion for collecting Tweety Bird memorabilia—a hobby that filled her house with several thousand of items dedicated to the beloved cartoon character. Ironically, despite this fondness for Tweety Bird collectibles, she harbored a deep fear of real birds.
A woman of quiet faith, Trish worshipped God with humility and grace. Though reserved in expressing her spirituality outwardly, she carried her Christian beliefs close to her heart throughout her life.
Trish’s zest for life extended beyond work and home. She loved traveling with David to festivals across the country, including Wizard of Oz Festivals, Roswell UFO Festival, Superman Celebrations, Mardi Gras, and more. Her ability to adapt to any environment was remarkable—whether personally charming the Adjutant General of the Queen of England at a London gala or enjoying time with friends at a local dive bar. Her grace and pleasant demeanor endeared her to everyone she met. One of her greatest assets was her love for her long list of cherished friends. Trish always cared about them and assisted in any way she could. She took many trips with female friends and would always come home elated over the time spent with them.
Though Trish never bore children of her own, she embraced and raised David’s four children from a previous marriage with extraordinary care and love. Her nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on their lives. They are Ryan, Lonny, LyDena, and Shanell; and their eight grandchildren, Syfe, Jaxx, Zane, Serena, Elly, Will, Orion, and Tristen.
Trish will be remembered as a humble and unpretentious woman who radiated warmth and kindness wherever she went. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family members and the countless friends who were fortunate enough to know her.
May Patricia “Trish” Chilton’s legacy bring comfort to all who loved her as they celebrate a life well-lived.
