🔔 Updates to Emergency Alerts in Bryan County

Bryan County is updating to BEMA Alerts - Powered by RAVE's Smart911. We are updating how emergency alerts are delivered to help ensure a broader scope of notifications reaches our community.

While the system behind the alerts is changing, our commitment to keeping you informed and safe has not. Emergency notifications will continue to provide timely, location-specific information during emergencies and severe weather.

If you are currently signed up for CodeRED alerts, there is nothing you need to do right now. You will receive an opt-in or opt-out email from RAVE as part of this transition. That message is expected to arrive later today or tomorrow and will guide you through the next steps.

We will also be updating the alert sign-up portal on our website. Residents who are not currently signed up are encouraged to register. If you are not already enrolled, now is the best time to sign up for our alert system.

Emergency alerts help ensure you receive the information you need to know — quickly and directly — when conditions change.

Preparedness starts with staying informed, and we are committed to making sure Bryan County residents receive critical information when it matters most.

MEET YOUR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR: NATE DELGADO

Why would you like to be selected for the Mayor's Youth Council?

I believe I would be a great fit to the council because I want to help the people in my community. I want to make the city of Pembroke a better place for the other residents of Pembroke.

What are you looking to gain from participating in the Mayor's Youth Council?

All I want to do is to give back to the people in this community.

What programs, activities, or issues would you like to see
addressed by the Mayor's Youth Council?

The issue I would like to see addressed is the need for more extracurricular facilities for our city. Not only that but the need to keep our city clean and hygienic. Another issue that needs the be addressed is the need for a more viable way for transportation rather than walking.

What programs, activities, or issues would you like to see
addressed by the Mayor's Youth Council?

I’d love to see more programs that support our senior citizens, as well as initiatives that promote and uplift small businesses. These are important parts of our community that deserve more visibility and care.
