Does anyone recognize this individual? We were hosting Leadership Bryan for a downtown historic walking tour. We have video of him walking in the Harn Center stealing government property between 11:18 am - 11:35 am today. Please notify Pembroke Police Department at 912-653-4414 with any information you may have or feel free to DM either myself or the PD.

Yesterday, I joined in the celebration of the ribbon cutting and grand opening of WoodSpring Suites in Ellabell, GA!

This exciting project marks a historic milestone as the first hotel ever permitted in unincorporated Bryan County. Congratulations to WoodSpring Suites and to Bryan County!

We’ve had a great question come up:

“Does my child have to attend Bryan County Schools to participate?”

The answer is:

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Pembroke Reads 250 is open to children who LIVE in or near the Pembroke community — no matter where they attend school.

That means if your child attends:

📚 Bryan County Schools
📚 Stilson Elementary
📚 Nevils Elementary
📚 Southeast Bulloch Schools
📚 Pinewood Christian Academy
📚 Private School
📚 Homeschool

Our City Gym might date back to the late 1950s, but thanks to our City Street Department the backboards are brand new!

School may be out, but the adventure is just beginning!

I’m excited to officially launch Pembroke Reads 250 — our Mayor’s Reading Club Summer Challenge celebrating America’s 250th birthday through books, imagination, and learning!

🦉 This summer, we’re challenging Pembroke to read 100,000 minutes together as a community while unlocking fun milestones along the way!

🎉 COMMUNITY READING MILESTONES:

📚 25,000 Minutes → Mayor Storytime Event
🍧 50,000 Minutes → Popsicles at the Park
⭐ 75,000 Minutes → Star Reader Celebration Week
🍦 100,000 Minutes → Ice Cream with the Mayor Finale!

✨ EVERY registered reader helps us unlock community goals!

To participate in the finale celebration, readers simply need to complete 250 reading minutes this summer — that’s just a little reading at a time!
