๐บ๐ธ๐ PEMBROKE READS 250 IS OFFICIALLY HERE! ๐๐บ๐ธ
School may be out, but the adventure is just beginning!
Iโm excited to officially launch Pembroke Reads 250 โ our Mayorโs Reading Club Summer Challenge celebrating Americaโs 250th birthday through books, imagination, and learning!
๐ฆ This summer, weโre challenging Pembroke to read 100,000 minutes together as a community while unlocking fun milestones along the way!
๐ COMMUNITY READING MILESTONES:
๐ 25,000 Minutes โ Mayor Storytime Event
๐ง 50,000 Minutes โ Popsicles at the Park
โญ 75,000 Minutes โ Star Reader Celebration Week
๐ฆ 100,000 Minutes โ Ice Cream with the Mayor Finale!
โจ EVERY registered reader helps us unlock community goals!
To participate in the finale celebration, readers simply need to complete 250 reading minutes this summer โ thatโs just a little reading at a time!

๐ Parents โ Hereโs the BEST part:
Your childโs reading can count for MULTIPLE programs at the same time!
The Pembroke Public Library Summer Reading Program (โUnearth a Storyโ) and Georgia Reads for America250 can overlap with Pembroke Reads 250.
That means:
๐ Reading logged for the library challenge can ALSO count toward Pembroke Reads 250
๐บ๐ธ Reading books from the Georgia America250 list can count too
๐ฆ Participate in the libraryโs Dino-themed summer events, prizes, and activities while helping Pembroke reach our citywide reading goal!
The Pembroke Public Library Summer Reading Program runs May 28 โ July 15, and Georgia Reads for America250 registration remains open through July 4.
Visit the Pembroke Public Library or the library website for details on:
